Drum magnetic separator

Drum magnetic separator designed for the automatic removal of ferrous particles, especially low-magnetic (paramagnetics) in recycling processes. Usually installed free-standing at the discharge of a conveyor belt or in line connected to pneumatic loading. Used for bulk materials as a second stage of magnetic separation.

A description of the action:

The rotating surface of the drum transports the transmitted material through a permanent magnetic core. The magnetic core attracts the magnetic elements to the rotating surface, where cleaning takes place by the cleats. The pull-in material is routed past the divider. Non-magnetic material falls freely.
