Why do snap hooks made of POM have far better functional qualities then those with additive printing? Find out at the Spanish trade In(3D)ustry in Barcelona which runs from the 16th till the 18th of October in Barcelona.
On the three days of the trade fair a Boy XS model in the Tech arena in Hall 8 will produce practical snap hooks on tools inserts with 3D print. In that context the parts have been manufactured by moulded injection and thus have the same physical characteristics as with manufacture using traditional tools. The improved homogeneity of the molecule chains of the processed materials and its rigidity is a big asset as compared to 3D printed components which have been prepared by putting one layer upon another.
Boy has great success on the market with this alternative implementation of 3D technology for building prototypes and prducing small series or spare parts.
This alternative process permits the processing of plastic parts of almost any material and even those with glass fibre reinforcement; furthermore even very small quantities can be produced with moulded injection at a low cost. On the In(3D)ustry trade fair our well established Spanish representative C.T. Servicio S.A. will demonstrate that with the model Boy XS only the tool inserts have been manufactured using the 3D processing.
These form inserts with customized imprint can get inserted into the tool in an even faster and simpler way using the optional tool change system available for the Boy moulding injection machines.
