At Fakuma the new Boy Electric series in the clamping force range from 350 to 800 kN will be presented for the first time.
The Boy Electric combines all the advantages of a fully-electric injection moulding machine, such as high dynamics, precision, good energy efficiency and parallel movements. The drives for the injection, dosing and ejector on the Boy Electric are electromechanical. The newly designed and further developed electromechanical universal injection unit is particularly worth emphasizing.
A patent application has been filed for a new type of dynamic pressure measurement on the injection mechanism by a strain sensor. The electromechanical drive technology allows a more precise positioning, more dynamic motion sequences and shorter cycle times thanks to a parallel clamping force structure for injection. The proven two-platen clamping unit is powered by the energy-saving servo-hydraulics. In combination with the electromechanical ejector, the mould installation space is thus oil and lubricant free.
The new electromechanical ejector surpasses its hydraulic counterpart in terms of dynamics and precision. Thanks to a more precise position feedback and direct control, it allows parallel, precise and highly dynamic movements, which not only shorten the cycle time, but also protect the product, the mould, the gripper and the machine as well.
The Boy Electric series has a new machine design with integrated drive and inverter technology in the smallest possible space.
The compact and low-maintenance OSSD technology (Output Signal Switching Device) provides maximum safety.
With the Boy Electric, the company continues to focus on innovative technologies and optimised processes in the field of injection moulding and stays true to its philosophy of minimal footprint by the systematic integration of high-performance technology.
