At Fakuma 2024, taking place in Friedrichshafen, Boy will present a total of six exhibits of the entire clamping force range from 100 to 1250 kN in Hall A7, booth 7101. A cross-section of the complete production programme will be demonstrated, including six further injection moulding machines on partner booths. Two exhibits with LR 5 Handling will be presented at the Boy booth, demonstrating a very compact automation. An issue that is moving more and more into the focus.
Thanks to state-of-the art drive and plasticizing technologies Boy injection moulding machines are scoring with energy and cost efficiency. With their very small footprint, they allow a cost-effective production with maximum economic efficiency.
The Procan Alpha 6 control system ensures precise results.
In addition to a Boy XS E and the successful Boy 25 E a Boy 125 E will be demonstrated as servo-hydraulic machine.
The largest of the Boy injection moulding machines with a clamping force of 1250 kN and a footprint of only 5.22 m² will be exhibited together with a Boy 2C S, a highly flexible auxiliary unit. On this compact 2K-system ice cube moulds in a hard-/soft material combination will be produced.
Boy Electric series in new machine design
Three models of the new Boy Electric series will be presented for the first time at Fakuma. The Boy 35 Electric, the Boy 50 Electric and the Boy 80 Electric in the clamping force ranges from 350 to 800 kN offer numerous features that increase the precision and, depending on the kind of application, the efficiency during the injection moulding process. For example, the drives for injection, dosing and the ejector as well are electromechanically designed.
The Boy Electric series has also been given a new machine design, which is not only characterised by its new optics. The drive and inverter technology is integrated in the smallest possible space and still permits numerous expansion options. The accessibility has also further been improved.
The new Electric machines are characterised by their high positioning accuracy and offer the option of actively braking the screw movement and thus also recovering energy for subsequent movements.
They also persuade with their impressively quiet running, which ensures a pleasant working environment.
Another highlight of the new series is the parallel movement without a double pump, allowing an efficient and precise production. The Boy Electric machines also captivate by their compactness and thus combine the advantages of an electromechanical machine with a space-saving design of two-platen clamping units.
"We are looking forward to many exciting discussions and to welcoming both familiar and new "faces". In addition to our proven highlights, we are pleased to present our new Boy Electric series" comments Alfred Schiffer, Managing Partner of Dr. Boy GmbH & Co. KG.
