Ciba launches new 3D color visualization software linking design to production: new Ciba Colorviz Color Presenter software aids color communication between designers, color producers and Color visualization based on measured value of colorants on final products, allowing reduction of product development cycle times.Ciba ColorViz Color Presenter, a new tool that allows visualization of the final
appearance of a color on a finished product, has been designed for color producers in the packaging, electronics, consumer goods, cosmetics and automotive markets.

Color Presenter works on instrumentally measured colors from color suppliers or from Ciba COLIBRI formulation software, allowing CAD design visualization that takes into account the actual colorants used. This eliminates the confusion and delays that result when designers and color producers specify colors only to find out that they cannot be achieved because other requirements, such as light fastness or FDA approval, will not be met. Since Color Presenter uses measured data or data from formulation software, it is clear from the start whether the specified color can be produced.
CAD files can be imported into Color Presenter, where designers can use their color supplier`s color palette to determine the appearance of the final product in various lighting conditions or surroundings. Two versions of the same image can be placed side by side. Users can create flash files that can be supplied to customers, distributors or the sales force for website creation, consumer tests, PowerPoint presentations, and displays at conferences or trade shows.
Color Presenter can be supplied with drivers for most popular spectrophotometers, so color producers can use their existing instruments to input measured color values.
