Elix Polymers, the leading global thermoplastics manufacturer, has recognised the excellence, proactivity, commitment, flexibility and service provided by Repsol, awarding it the “Elix Polymers Outstanding Performance Award 2024”. Repsol received this recognition for the first time in 2018, making it the first company to receive this award twice.
The award ceremony was held at Repsol’s headquarters in Madrid, attended by David Castañeda, CEO of Elix Polymers, Narcis Vidal, Operations & Supply Chain Director at Elix Polymers, Jaume Dugo, Operational Procurement Manager at Elix Polymers, Ricardo Júlvez, Styrene Product Manager at Repsol, Sandra Navarro, C4s & Aromatics Product Manager at Repsol and Javier Cortés, Monomers Senior Manager at Repsol.
This annual recognition aims to encourage and recognise the collaboration and hard work of the company’s strategic partners. David Castañeda, CEO of Elix Polymers, pointed out that “we are a values-based company and we like to work with companies that look to improve continuously and that share our vision. Over the years, Elix Polymers and Repsol have established a relationship that goes far beyond the purely commercial, they have built a true alliance that has allowed them to face very ambitious challenges together, adapting to the changing and innovative needs required by our sector.
Finally, once again, Elix Polymers opted for a solidarity and sustainable trophy, made by Ayúdame3D, a Spanish social entity which, thanks to 3D printing technology, helps vulnerable groups around the world with its 3D printed mechanical arms, called "trésdesis". These solidarity trophies are also made using sustainable materials such as recycled, plant-based plastic.
