The 18th EuroMold, World Fair for Moldmaking and Tooling, Design and Application Development, opens its gates from Nov. 29, to Friday, Dec. 2, 2011.
The show presents 1,324 exhibitors from 45 countries from the entire spectrum of product development. During the four days 55,000 trade visitors are expected. With the partner country Korea and innovative special shows EuroMold displays numerous highlights and consolidates its position as a leading international trade fair for product development.
In the exhibition halls 8.0, 9.0, 11.0 and Galleria, EuroMold shows the latest innovations in the entire range of product development. Highlights of EuroMold 2011, besidesthe partner country Korea, are the special shows “Innovations through Moldmaking and Tooling – German Moldmaking and Tooling - we create values” and “e-production for everyone”. In addition, EuroMold presents high-profile conferences, forums and workshops during all four days.
The unique EuroMold fair concept “From Idea to Prototype to Series Production” clearly illustrates the entire process chain. Here all parties involved in product development will be united - from designers, to moldmakers, machine tool producers, and subcontractors to users. Core areas at EuroMold are of course Moldmaking and Tooling as well as Rapid Prototyping, Patternmaking and Prototypes, CAD/CAM, Simulation/VR, Machine Tools and Tools, Engineering, Design and many more.
Large attendance from abroad – significant growth from Westeurope
This year EuroMold once again shows a high degree of internationality of 40.5%. The main international exhibitors come from China with 120 exhibitors.
A significant increase of 42% presents Italy. With 47 exhibitors Italy is the second most significant country. Other major exhibiting countries are France (35 exhibitors), Spain (35), Korea (33), Japan (21), Great Britain (20), Portugal (19), Austria, Switzerland and Taiwan (all 18).
New exhibitors form 28 nations – significant increase in area of Design
With 320 new exhibitors from 28 nations, EuroMold 2011 also proves in this area, the high international profile and worldwide appeal. Besides Germany, China, Italy, South Korea, France, Japan, Taiwan and the UK are the most important countries in this category. Most new exhibitors come from the fields of moldmaking and tooling. The design area records a high growth and is located at the second place in the category of new exhibitors. Engineering area as well as patternmaking and prototyping can post a high number of new exhibitors.
The largest sector of EuroMold 2011 is Moldmaking and Tooling with a share of 31.5% of total exhibitors number Multiple answers possible, followed by Rapid Prototyping and tooling (10.1%) as well as Patternmaking and Prototyping (9.4%). Other significant areas of the process chain are Engineering (7.5%), Machine Tools (7.1%) and Software & Hardware (6.9%)
The partner country Korea presents itself at EuroMold 2011 with 33 companies, research institutions and relevant Korean governmental associations such as Korean Die & Mold Corporative (KODMIC). The majority of Koreas companies represented at EuroMold are from the area of Moldmaking and Tooling, other important areas are, among others, Software & Hardware, Tools, Materials as well QS & Automation. On the special area of Partner country Korea in hall 9.0 the FORUM Korea will present opportunities for German-Korean cooperation.
An important milestone in the relationship between Korea and Europe is the Free Trade Agreement (EFTA), which was introduced on July 1st, 2011. Europe is a significant trading market for Korea. As a European Business Center, Frankfurt became a second home to many Korean companies.
EuroMold 2011 touches on the latest developments in the industry, presenting innovative special shows and workshops. New to EuroMold 2011 is the special show “Innovations through Moldmaking and Tooling” in hall 8.0 (stand G134).
This special exhibition provides an excellent framework for the latest developments and projects. With the slogan “German Moldmaking and tooling – We create values” special exhibits will be presented on the area of 400sqm, where Moldmaking and Tooling are illustrated as a key technology for Germany as industrial location. In addition, numerous training opportunities in the area of Moldmaking and Tooling are presented.
Divided into three areas the special show presents exciting live demonstrations, topical reports, tours and nominees of competition "Excellence in Production". Furthermore, a bottle opener, will be produced on site with a 2K technology.
‘e-Production for Everyone’, which takes place already for the third time at EuroMold, became a spectator magnet in hall 11 since its premiere and underwent a spectacular development. At EuroMold 2011 this special show in
hall 11 will provide insight to trends and future applications of additive manufacturing.
The new, modern hall 11 becomes ‘House of Creation’, another highlight at EuroMold 2011. ‘House of Creation’ will comprise the sectors ‘Design + Engineering’, ‘Materials’, ‘Simulation + VR’ and ‘Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing’.
Thus it creates a unique market place for modern product development. Apart from this EuroMold has already established itself for years as the biggest and most important market place for additive manufacturing (Rapid technologies) in Europe.
