The fast availability of standard mould units for Hasco's global customers has always had maximum priority. In 2014, Hasco set a further milestone in its 100-year history with a new and modern online shop.
At the time of the go-live, the Hasco shop offered contents and functionalities that tool- and mouldmakers had previously not known before. What was offered for the first time on the market was the possibility to inquire in real time about the availability of specific products. Apart from that, digital CAD files were prepared that, from this time onwards, were available 24/7 worldwide. Further developments regarding customer-specific services, which repeatedly reshape the handling, selection and nature of the ordering of goods - set out to make the procedures easier, more diverse and more comfortable.
The new design of the www.hasco.com portal aimed at making it fast and easy to use - that was how the project’s target was formulated at the time. What was planned, programmed and tested for this in advance was, at the end of it all, successfully implemented in the World Wide Web. Since then, it has been possible to configure a mould with only five clicks, and simultaneously to calculate the cost and finally place the order. Hasco's global customers have had permanent access to the world of standard mould units, with system components ready for installation. It thus became possible to significantly shorten the entire process for the intuitively guided configuration and placing of the order in order to save valuable time when selecting and ordering.
Basically, the aim of the new portal concept was to support the internal processes on the customer side by providing an exceptional service. Hasco provided its diverse data from the very beginning in more than 40 formats. This could be called up directly via integrated interfaces. Parts lists for selected standard components were immediately made available. Furthermore, the online provision of the CAD data with integrated installation spaces and native data produced in the system also makes it easier for the customer to carry out the design work on the screen.
A significant increase in the planning reliability was achieved through consistent transparency - in line with the trend of clocked mouldmaking - as regards providing precise details of the delivery status and traceability. What it is nowadays seen by tool- and mouldmakers as a matter of course, was regarded as an absolute novelty ten years ago.
At the same time as the market launch of the new Hasco portal, a brand relaunch was carried out. With the claim "Enabling with system", Hasco has proved since then that it can make processes ever easier for its customers. This succeeded in a pioneering manner with the invention and patenting of the modular system in 1960, continued in 1967 with the first printed copy of the Hasco catalogue of standard mould units, and became evident again in 2014 with the new online portal. The development of the portal progressed further in a future-oriented way with the integration of artificial intelligence and product digitalisation. Further innovations "Made by Hasco" are also destined to make an impression on the market in the future.
