MSV preparations continue as planned

MSV preparations continue…

The MSV International Engineering Fair is a key European fair in the field of engineering and manufacturing. Despite the current situation, preparations for the 62nd MSV are continuing as planned. The future of industry will be presented in Brno, Czech Republic on 5–9 October 2020. This original date remains unchanged.

“I firmly believe that standard conditions, including conditions for participation of foreign exhibitors and visitors to the MSV, will be secured. I believe that this year's MSV will contribute to restarting the paralyzed economy,” says Jiří Kuliš, CEO of BVV Trade Fairs Brno. This edition of the MSV features also specialized technology fairs IMT, FOND-EX, WELDING, PLASTEX and PROFINTECH.

The MSV visitors are mainly professionals, most of whom decide or co-decide on investments and purchases in companies. MSV creates an important platform for developing business relationships across industries. In the second half of the year, the trade fair could become a symbol of economic and industrial recovery.

“I hope that most domestic and foreign exhibitors will use this event as an opportunity to present their readiness to restart the economy. This year it is also important for our association and its members to hold a specialized trade fair for machine tools and metal forming machines IMT.

Therefore, I would like the presentation of our field to be as broad as possible this year,” said Oldřich Paclík, Director of the Association of Engineering Technology.

The electrical industry also had to respond flexibly to the current situation, especially given the wide portfolio of its customers.

“We realize that in the second half of the year, when we all believe in relaunching the economy, there will be space and willingness in many companies to invest effectively in new technologies. And at MSV 2020 we would like to show that a well thought out and optimally implemented digital transformation and investment in digital innovations in companies will be the best response to the current decline in industrial production. The current complicated period has shifted us in many ways towards the perception of digital literacy in the right direction. We will do everything we can to continue this positive trend at MSV 2020,” said Jiří Holoubek, President of the Electrotechnical Association of the Czech Republic.

The right to digitize industry will again be one of the main topics of this year's MSV. The fair will be an important presentation opportunity in the Central European market, especially in the year when the planned similar industrial fairs for the first half of 2020 were cancelled; including the industrial fair in Hannover.

The participation of all traditional exhibitors is expected. By the end of March, there was an increased interest in participation, but due to the current situation, the deadline for applications for exhibitors was postponed exceptionally to April 30, 2020. Until this date, the exhibition space can be ordered under preferential conditions.

The participation of the Russian Federation as a partner country is confirmed. Japan is officially registered for the first time.
