Miroglio Group signs new Ingeo master licence agreement

Most notable was Miroglio`s introduction of a new range of Ingeo filament yarn qualities which has been introduced a completely new innovation dimension to the textile chain.

Stefano Cochis, Commercial Director at Miroglio maintains: - We at Miroglio have a long experience and understand the nature and value of innovation as the fulcrum for maintaining a responsive and healthy business. Signing our MLA with NatureWorks demonstrates our belief in Ingeo as a new material with a bright future for us all. It`s the essential product of real difference that we can add to the wide range we offer customers today and we know we can leverage its unique message into the market and match the growing demand for better, more responsible, low carbon footprint products that offer that point of difference today.

Ingeo biopolymer is manufactured by NatureWorks LLC. The company was founded to commercially manufacture and supply more responsible bio-based raw materials for fiber and bioplastic lifestyle products. Ingeo represents an ingenious new material that`s made from plants not oil.

The many environmental benefits that come with this new brand include that it`s derived entirely from annually renewable plant resources. Ingeo also uses 66-77% per cent less fossil fuel resources than the traditional polymers such as polyester and nylon and reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 91-97%, making Ingeo a unique brand catalyst for lower carbon footprint products and therefore better eco-profiles and a more environmentally sensible option for the new generation of consumers who enjoy them.

- Working closely with Miroglio will mean we can develop a more integrated approach to both raw material and yarn supply for the textile industry in Europe and beyond. Miroglio has such a wide reach and depth of knowledge and really understands the business of speciality fiber innovation, marketing and communication. That makes them a very appropriate partner choice for us and we look forward to a strong partnership - comments Eamonn Tighe, European fibers business development manager for NatureWorks LLC.

Building on the last five years of fiber market development, NatureWorks and Mioglio, with Ingeo can capitalize on the growing global demand for more environmentally friendly materials to take the lead in consumer lifestyle product development.
