Mondi, one of the largest providers of corrugated, flexible and paper sack packaging in the UK, has launched a new range of tear tape products to help customers improve packaging protection, aesthetics and functionality. Following an upgrade to the tape application facilities at Mondi’s Mold factory, the company is adding three new tear tape products to its corrugated solutions including Quick Strip, Stick Strip and Sturdy Strip. Quick Strip is ideal for the retail industry, featuring a pressure applied tear tape with a slit in the outside liner to maximise ease of opening and improve on-shelf appearance.
Matthew Robinson, Sales Development Manager (UK), comments: “Previously, tear tape has often proved ineffective and compromised the appearance and functionality of the packaging solution. The new Quick Strip offers a clean finish, which is likely to prove popular with manufacturers and retailers keen to promote product sales during a period of slower consumer spending.”
Stick Strip features a self-adhesive device to enable postal packages to be sealed and resealed swiftly and securely, while Sturdy Strip has been designed to reinforce outer cases and package handle-holes without causing bulges.
