Effective as of 1 July 2008 Moretto Deutschland GmbH was established as a distribution and service organisation in Neunkirchen am Sand (near Nuremberg, Germany). This means X-Technology with the latest developments in the plastics periphery market is moving to the geographic centre of Europe. At the same time, Bernd Kraft was appointed Branch Manager of the new subsidiary. Moretto Deutschland GmbH is designed to handle the German, Austrian and Swiss markets, catering to all plastics processing disciplines. Here Moretto will place its competence at customers` disposal with its entire range of equipment in the areas of drying, mixing and dosing.
Late 2008 customers and interested parties will be given the chance to convince themselves of the performance of these efficient devices under realistic, industrial-scale manufacturing conditions during an "open-house" event at the new Technical Centre. Before this Renato Moretto will present his strategy for Europe to the sector at a press conference during Fakuma.
To Renato Moretto, CEO of Moretto S.p.A., Massanzago, Italy, the Nuremberg metropolitan region is not only one of Germany`s key plastics processing centres but also the geographic centre of Europe: "From here we will be able to comprehensively serve injection moulding, blow moulding and extrusion users in Germany, Austria and Switzerland - and by 2010 also users in the neighbouring Eastern European states. We intend to aim to sustainably expand our presence on the European market and become one of the top three periphery equipment suppliers.

As a reminder: Spring 2008 saw Moretto chart its expansionary course - beyond Southern Europe - with the establishment of Moretto UK Ltd., Milton Keynes, in the UK.
In Bernd Kraft Moretto recruited a committed subsidiary manager for its Deutschland GmbH company boasting a Masters in Business and Engineering. He uses the experience acquired over 20 years in the plastics industry for the benefit of his customers. At the 6,000 m2 premises recently purchased in Neunkirchen am Sand (just a few minutes from the Nuremberg motorway junction) the plastics experts now have production hall space measuring 1,600m2 and office space measuring 700 m2 at their disposal.
Initially Bernd Kraft will have five members of staff in his distribution and service team. These include Alexa Ladz, Antonio Azzarelli and Anna-Maria Leithäuser from the Paderborn office, which has logically been integrated. In addition to this staff, Moretto Deutschland GmbH has contracted seven commercial agents and freelance/full-time service technicians.
In the medium term Moretto Deutschland GmbH will consolidate its customer service with a team of five in-house experts for service jobs and the installation of periphery equipment, four sales engineers and 10 commercial agents while still being able to rely on contract service technicians and staff support from the Italian parent company.

Commenting on the 300 m2 Technical Centre to be installed in Neunkirchen am Sand by autumn 2008 the Branch Manager adds: - We will be able to convince customers and interested parties of the operational excellence of our equipment here. The installed technology is designed for customers` tests and staff training.
