SABIC launched high transparent polypropylene grade for multiple application area’s within extrusion blow moulding.
SABIC completes its broad polypropylene (PP) portfolio for extrusion blow moulding with a new random PP copolymer grade: SABIC PP 680K. This new grade is particularly suited for applications which demand outstanding transparency, high temperature resistance and a good stiffness and impact balance. The properties of SABIC PP 680K perfectly serve applications within food packaging as well as bottle applications within personal care and household chemicals such as detergents. Due to its property profile SABIC PP 680K is able to combine these different requirements into one single grade solution.
SABIC offers already a very well established and broad polyolefine extrusion blow moulding portfolio for the European packaging market. Tjerk Lenstra PP Technical Marketing Engineer SABIC Europe explains: - This SABIC PP blow moulding grade also closes the gap between the renowned SABIC PP Vestolen P 9421 grades for extrusion pipe applications and its high flow injection moulding grade SABIC PP RA12MN40. In the same line SABIC launched its SABICPP 670Kh for caps& closures and houseware earlier this year.
The introduction of SABIC PP 680K shows SABIC’s commitment to the random copolymer market and their customers. - Even in this economic difficult period, we work continuously to support our customers in meeting their demanding challenges. Our ultimate goal is to further strengthen SABIC’s position as a reliable, competitive and cost effective supplier in a wide range of market segments: the One stop shop for the polymer supply chain - says Lenstra.
