Nexeo Solutions and Royal DSM have announced their agreement to extend and further develop their existing partnership. After more than 17 years of long-term partnership, the agreement reaffirms their shared commitment to the European engineering polymers market. Both organizations plan to target to expand to Switzerland and Hungary offering DSM’s broad product range, including: PA6, PA46, PA4T, PA66, PBT, PET and TPC-ET.Other areas of interest within the extended geography agreement between the two companies are Rumania and Bulgaria. Plans to expand to these regions begin later in 2016.
Royal DSM and Nexeo Solutions (formerly a part of Ashland, Inc. until 2011) have held a strong distribution partnership since 1998.
"Reinforcing an already robust partnership will make it easier for both parties to realise both companies' growth targets", Hector Mas, Nexeo Solutions Product Line Manager for Polyamides and Specialties in Europe, said. "The possibility to sell in areas like Switzerland or Hungary will strengthen our service in geographies where we already have a strong distribution network," he added.
The move, effective January 2016, will allow Nexeo Solutions' customers to benefit from Nexeo Solutions' project development expertise that comprehensively addresses all key applications combined with the top quality product range from DSM.
In response to the expansion, Nexeo Solutions is currently recruiting new Application Development Engineer (ADE) positions across Europe as part of the renewed focus on specialties. By extending the ADE team, customers will have access to exclusive dedicated resources to key developments. This effort will also enable additional synergy between Nexeo Solutions and DSM as specialty polymers growth is integral to both organization's corporate strategies.
