The Piovan Group, one of the world leaders in the production of auxiliary equipment for processing plastic materials, has acquired from Germany`s Mann+Hummel the American Universal Dynamics Incorporated, one of the major players of the plastics industry in the North American market.Una-Dyn, with offices and production plant in Woodbridge, Virginia, near Washington D.C., employs 130 and has a turnover of 30 million dollars. The American company is specialized in the design, production, supply and service of feeding, drying and dosing systems.
The 50 years of experience of Una-Dyn in the U.S. market are a guarantee for Piovan which, on the strength of its equally extensive experience in the sector, sees in the American company an ideal and reliable partner. With this new acquisition the Piovan Group now has four production sites, respectively located in Italy, Brazil, China and the U.S., 750 employees and a sales volume of 125 million Euro expected for 2008.
Piovan is active in the sectors of Injection & Blow Moulding, Extrusion, PET Preforms & Optical Application, and is present in all markets, trough 18 companies.
