RadiciGroup High Performance Polymers showcases sustainable innovation at Chinaplas 2025

RadiciGroup High Performance…

At a time when the global plastics industry is facing increasing demands for both performance and sustainability, RadiciGroup High Performance Polymers is back at Chinaplas - Asia’s leading plastics and rubber trade fair - to reaffirm its role as a trusted partner for innovative and customized material solutions.

From 15 to 18 April, at the Shenzhen World Exhibition&Convention Center (Bao'an), Stand H17 A101, the Group is presenting its cutting-edge solutions in engineering polymers designed to meet the increasingly complex needs of markets such as automotive and emobility, electrical and electronics, and consumer and industrial goods.

“Innovation and sustainability are no longer separate paths. They must advance together,” said Alberto Sessolo, country manager for China of RadiciGroup High Performance Polymers. “Chinaplas is the perfect platform to engage with customers and partners across the value chain and demonstrate how our materials can help them address the growing challenges in circularity, efficiency and regulatory compliance. We’re looking forward to shaping the future of engineering polymers together."

At this year’s show, RadiciGroup is spotlighting a selection of solutions that exemplify its commitment to circularity, bio-based innovation and high-performance under extreme conditions.

Renycle, the Group’s family of engineering polymers derived from post-industrial and postconsumer sources, is making inroads in high-performance sectors. One standout product, Renycle S GF3004K (PA6-GF30), was recently honoured with the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) Award for its use in automotive intake manifolds - a clear signal of the recycled material’s potential in demanding applications.

The Bionside range of bio-based polyamides offers another route toward lower environmental impact without compromising technical performance. For example, Radilon D (PA610), made of 64% renewable content from castor oil, outperforms conventional PA66 in hydrolysis resistance and is well-suited to automotive components like cooling pipe connectors and fuel lines.

Further innovations include high-temperature, colour-stable orange compounds tailored for electric vehicle (EV) and E&E applications. Designed to retain colour stability and structural integrity after 1,000+ hours at 130°C, these materials comply with UL standards for flame retardancy and electrical insulation, making them ideal for high-voltage components, such as connectors, warning parts and extruded copper busbars.

Another key highlight is a new generation of PBT-based, halogen-free flame retardant compounds, such as Radiflam B RV300HF, which combines excellent flame resistance (UL94 V-0 at 0.4mm) with exceptional thermal performance, while overcoming the major obstacle limiting PBT's application in high-voltage components. Its comparative tracking index (CTI) reaches 600V, significantly reducing required creepage distances in product design.

RadiciGroup’s flame-retardant product portfolio also provides solutions specifically developed for the solar industry. In this rapidly growing market in China, PA66-based Radiflam products are used in applications such as solar panel connectors, thanks to their ability to meet the stringent approval tests required in this sector.

Moreover, RadiciGroup is focusing on the development of PBT compounds for laser transmission welding technology and is introducing ground-breaking laser transparent PBT materials. These products are able to maintain an ultra-high infrared laser transmission rate, while ensuring dimensional stability and hydrolysis resistance, thus making them an ideal choice for applications such as millimeter-wave radar, electrical parking control units and sensors.

Throughout the exhibition, RadiciGroup’s experts will be available to provide in-depth technical guidance, discuss product performance and propose new collaboration opportunities.

In addition, Kan Huang, strategic marketing and business development manager for China of RadiciGroup High Performance Polymers, will deliver a keynote presentation at the RadiciGroup booth (H17 A101) on 16 April at 14:30 (local time), offering insights into the Group’s latest product developments and future-facing strategies.

“We warmly welcome customers, partners, and media to visit our booth and explore the role of advanced polymers in building a more sustainable and competitive industry,” Alberto Sessolo concluded.
