There are only two weeks to go to the opening of the International Tube & Pipe Trade Fair in Düsseldorf. And for the first time in the successful history of this Düsseldorf trade fair going back to 1988 over 1,000 exhibitors have registered. This means a new record result has been achieved.
As early as February 1,012 companies had already registered to present their innovations on 41,558 square metres of net exhibition space from 31 March to 4 April 2008. Exhibition Halls 6 to 8b and parts of Hall 5 will be occupied.
1988 saw the launch of Tube with 147 firms. Held every other year the trade fair attracted a maximum of 660 exhibitors in 2000. In 2004 the number rose to 730 exhibitors and two years ago totalled 827. This means 2006 already attracted a record-making number of 100 extra firms and hence produced excellent results. 2/3 of the companies came from abroad, one third were German companies.
This international flair also continues in 2008. The majority of European exhibitors come from Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Russia, Switzerland, Spain, Turkey and the United King-dom. Strong participations have also been registered from the USA, Taiwan and China.
Already a tradition, the concurrent holding of Tube with the International Wire and Cable Fair, wire, and now also with METAV, one of the most important trade fairs for metalworking, gener-ates valuable synergies for both exhibitors and visitors in all three sectors.
