Start up and commissioning works include three stages: the experts checked the connections of lines on December 3; they plan a dry start-up for this week and the start-up with material, for the next week. The specialists from KraussMaffei, the supplier of two high-performance BluePower series compounding lines, will carry out the fine-tuning.
Last week, the connections of the extruder control system, pelletizers and bag dampers were checked. “Everything went smoothly, no critical issues were reported during the equipment turning on”, notes Alexander Pavlov, General Director of R&P Polyplastic.
Specialists from Polytechnica engineering company designed and installed auxiliary equipment complex at Saratov polymer materials plant. They selected a set of premium equipment such as Moretto from Italy, Elux from Portugal and German Krause silos.
According to Alexander Mashinistov, General Director of Polytechnica engineering company, Saratov polymer materials plant is a milestone project in the development of domestic polymer industry. Such equipment makes it possible to meet the challenges of engineering plastics and highly filled materials compounding in the most effective and reliable way, ensuring the continuity of the lines’ operation.
The planned capacity of the new production lines is over 20 thousand MTY. Investments to this new equipment amounted to 3.3 million euros. The launch of Saratov polymer materials plant will allow R&P Polyplastic not only to develop the markets of thermoplastic elastomers, heat and electrical conductive compounds and cable business in Russia more actively, but also to increase export sales.
