Sumitomo (SHI) Demag brings hybrid high-speed machine to their first IPF in Tokyo
For the first time, the Japanese-German manufacturer will be present at the IPF Japan, which runs from 25 to 29 October 2011 in Tokyo. Sumitomo (SHI) Demag will be sharing booth No. 82503 in hall 8 with Sumitomo Heavy Industries (SHI). Alongside six SHI exhibits, visitors will be able to experience a hybrid El-Exis SP.
With the development of their high-end high-speed machine, Sumitomo (SHI) Demag scores a point with the packaging producers. Lower unit costs, maximised output capacity and thus profitability are the focus here. With the extremely short cycle times predominant in the packaging industry, even a few tenths of a second mean a significant increase in productivity.
The hybrid high-performance series EI-Exis SP will put itself to the test at the IPF 2011 with a flip-top application. The application runs on the high-speed machine El-Exis SP 250 (2500 kN) fitted with a 16-cavity mould by Schöttli. The 8.25-g closures are produced in a cycle time of about 10 seconds.
