This new model boasts twice the productivity of the highly successful single-row model for both narrow and wide mouthed, small to medium-size containers. The new ASB-150DPW has the same footprint as the market-leading ASB-150DP model but features a double-row configuration, doubling the cavitation to a maximum of 36 compared to 18 on the single-row machine.
The ASB-150DPW can make containers ranging from 50-ml to 1.5-L at an instantaneous rate of up to 10,800 bottles/hr depending on design and cavitation. Targeted applications range from small hotel amenity, liquor, and energy-style containers (50-ml) to wide mouth containers for peanut butter, mayonnaise, and toys. ASB is selling the new one-step machine globally and expects 12 orders in the current fiscal year ending September 2010.
The annual blow molding conference, sponsored by the SPE’s blow molding division, will be held this year at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter at Ravinia Hotel. The event features the latest in blow molding technology from the industry’s leading experts. The two-day program includes technical/business overviews on industrial and automotive materials and applications, packaging machinery, blow molding optimization, coextrusion technology, injection stretch blow molding, packaging sustainability, and recycling.
A pre-conference reception on Oct. 4 will enable attendees to network with leading manufacturers and industry peers. Plastics 101, a mini instructional session focused on technology and troubleshooting, will also be held. As a complement to Nissei ASB’s machine demonstration, attendees will receive guided tours and demonstrations at Atlanta-based Consolidated Container Corp., a leading manufacturer of rigid plastic containers.
