With its Tempro basic C series, Wittmann brought a real endurance runner to market 20 years ago. The appliances stand out by their process reliability, extremely easy operation and low purchase price. These three main characteristics remain unchanged in the next-generation series, Tempro basic E. But the new design is considerably more compact. As a result, the temperature controllers are easier to instal below the injection molding machine or, for example, inside an automation cell, and thus no longer take up any separate floor space.
More energy efficiency without heat loss
The appliance‘s sealless peripheral impeller pump with a highly efficient asynchronous motor of the latest energy efficiency class contributes to its higher energy efficiency. Heat loss is prevented by direct heat transfer from the heating elements to the tempering fluid. The tubular cooling coil with an enlarged heat transfer area ensures a higher cooling performance as well as a longer service life of the heat exchanger.
As before, the new E generation of the Tempro basic series will also be available with indirect cooling in a non-pressurized version for process temperatures of up to 90 °C, and in a pressurized version for temperatures of up to 140 °C, as well as a pressurized version with direct cooling for temperatures of up to 120 °C.
The operating terminal has been completely re-designed and now offers even more intuitive operation. The new 3.5" TFT screen provides the should-is comparison of the process temperature at a glance, as well as several other optional displays.
As further options, analog and serial interfaces are available for connection to the injection molding machine, as well as alarm contacts and external temperature sensors for even more accurate regulation inside the mold, and maintenance-free, self-calibrating flow rate measurement.
Soon available in three sizes
The Tempro basic E S90 to be presented at the Fakuma 2024 is the smallest appliance of the new series. With a width of 210 mm and a height of 600 mm, it is 25 mm narrower and 50 mm lower than the current Tempro basic C90 model. In spite of its smaller dimensions, the new temperature controller is even more maintenance-friendly than the previous generation of appliances. Further developments in this direction are based on actual user feed-back.
As standard, the Tempro basic E S90 comes with a heating capacity of 9 kW and a peripheral impeller pump with a maximum displacement of 40 l/min. A pump with a maximum capacity of 60 l/min is available as an option.
The Tempro basic E series is planned in three s - small, medium und large. The small version makes the start. Medium and large will follow successively. The large version of Tempro basic E is expected to offer a heating capacity of 36 kW and a pump output of up to 280 l/min.
With their new features, the Tempro basic E temperature controllers offer an extremely high level of process safety and reliability, as well as maximum possible energy efficiency and an excellent price-performance ratio.
