With the motto “one world – one drupa”, the leading international trade fair for the print and media industry takes place in Düsseldorf between 03 and 16 May 2012, exhibiting all the highlights of the international technology leaders. The important future-relevant subject of sustainability cannot be missing. “The sustainable production of media is not just a sign of responsible behaviour. It is both a future model and an innovation motor in equal measure. For this reason, it is important to us that the subject field of sustainability is an integral part of drupa 2012,” explains Manuel Mataré, Director of drupa 2012.
The mood at drupa 2008 - it was the last edition of drupa - could hardly have been better. From 29 May to 11 June in Düsseldorf, around 390,000 visitors from 140 countries and approx. 3,000 journalists from 84 nations obtained information about innovations, further developments and new business areas, while talk was of numerous billion-figure investments. As a result, drupa was able to further extend its global market significance and international standing. This is confirmed by the now-published visitor survey conducted by an independent market research institute.
