Mediplas is a uniquely focused event for the highly specialised area of manufacturing plastic parts for the medical industry. The exhibition will cover all areas of the medical plastics supply chain. It differentiates itself from general plastics shows, as it brings to the forefront aspects and considerations of medical device manufacturing that do not feature in production for other industries. It is also distinct from existing medical device events because it focuses on plastics — the new material of choice as bio-compatible plastics and polymer compounds continue to replace metal and ceramics in the medical industry.

Mediplas differentiates itself from general plastics shows, as it brings to the forefront the aspects and considerations of medical device manufacturing that do not feature in production for other industries. Furthermore, it is distinct from existing medical device shows because it specialises in plastics.

Mediplas is co-located with TCT Live, MM Live, Nano Live, MEMS Live and Sensing Technology at the Birmingham NEC 25-26 September 2012.

Duncan Wood, Managing Director of the Events Division at RNCG commented, “We have a superb track record with our portfolio seeing continued growth of TCT Live and MM Live alongside the new launches of Nano Live and MEMS Live in 2011. Mediplas fits perfectly with this group of exhibitions and will co-locate with them at the NEC for 2012. We also have within our stable a host of relevant media to help us reach the medical plastics sector and this, backed by key media and organisations from the medical sector, points to a very successful debut event”

“We are continually looking to grow our events division and the offering we present to the market. This can take the shape of new launches as in the case of Mediplas or with strategic co-locations and we are also delighted to announce that Sensing Technology, organised by Datateam Business Media will co-locate adjacent to our shows in 2012. We see great synergies between Datateam and Rapid News and also between Sensing and our 2012 group of events and we look forward to delivering yet another successful event for UK engineering and manufacturing in partnership”
