The company Izomat Wyrzysk offers for sale Airgel in the form of insulation mats. It is currently the best and the thinnest thermal insulation in the world, produced thanks to the use of nanotechnology. The main element of such blanks is a silica-based airgel, which is embedded in the fibers forming the skeleton and making it become a flexible and workable material. Airgel products are nanoporous and consist of more than 90-99.8% of air, which makes them a very effective insulator with the lowest thermal conductivity in the world (lambda below 0.014 W / mK)
High thermal insulation, strength, sound insulation, fire resistance, hydrophobicity and flexibility properties of airgel mats prefer them for use in situations where traditional thermal insulation does not work: in spaces of limited thickness, e.g. installation of window blinds, window frames, doors, dormers, window sill niches, external doors, internal walls and ceilings separating heated and unheated rooms, heated elements or installations with low radius of curvature, balcony slabs, etc.
