Plast Eurasia in Istanbul from 4 to 7 December 2024 is the largest plastics trade fair in Eurasia, according to its organiser - and Arburg (Hall 11, Stand 1114B) has long been a welcome exhibitor at the event. In keeping with the wishes and requirements of the market, the company will be exhibiting a hybrid Allrounder 470 H “Premium” automated with a Multilift Select linear robotic system in Turkey. This configuration is a typical design for high-quality and cost-effective series production of technical injection moulded parts.
"We are the market leader in premium injection moulding machines. Our hybrid Allrounders combine electric and hydraulic drive systems and are a perfect fit for our Turkish market," says Engin Malcan, Managing Director of Arburg Turkey, highlighting the advantages of the machine exhibit. "Our customers and prospective customers are looking for modular, customisable drive systems and cost-effective automation. This is exactly what we are presenting with an automated injection moulding application and an attractive giveaway."
Hybrid machine technology reduces costs and cycle time
Launched on the market in 2023, hybrid Allrounders from the Hidrive series with new hybrid machine technology combine an energy-efficient and precise electric clamping unit with a powerful and dynamic hydraulic injection unit. They come in s 470, 520 and 570 with clamping forces of 1,000, 1,500 and 2,000 kN and in "Comfort", "Premium" and "Ultimate" performance variants. Allrounder Hidrive machines are particularly good at saving energy and resources, and are also efficient in production, reliable and user friendly. Particularly impressive features include reduced purchase and operating costs, an optimised energy footprint and reduced cycle times. Thanks to a wide range of options, the machines can be customised precisely to the respective requirements. Smart assistants and robotic systems can be integrated into the Gestica control system.
Hybrid Allrounder 470 H to produce beverage jugs
At Plast Eurasia 2024, a hybrid Allrounder 470 H “Premium” with a clamping force of 1,000 kN and a single-cavity mould will be producing transparent beverage jugs made of polycarbonate (PC) in a cycle time of around 31 seconds per jug. A Multilift Select 8 linear robotic system with a load capacity of eight kilograms will be responsible for the quick and careful handling of the 0.5-litre, thick-walled moulded parts.
The "Premium" performance variant achieves dry cycle times of 1.2 seconds. The standard equipment includes the "Arburg electro-mechanical dosage" (AED) function for longer dosing and hydraulic accumulator technology with the “Arburg servo hydraulic system “(ASH). All axes of motion can be controlled and moved independently of each other via separate control valves.
Machines tailored precisely to the Turkish market
Arburg Turkey's customers want their machines to be energy efficient, fast and precise. And that is exactly what hybrid drive systems deliver. "Our customers are often producing goods for export, and they need high-quality machines for this that are precisely tailored to their requirements," explains Engin Malcan. "Together with our first-class service offering, rapid delivery of genuine spare parts, comprehensive advice on the optimum choice of machine and on-site training, we provide our customers with comprehensive support and help them get the most out of their machines." The Arburg Turkey team is also looking forward to meeting its customers in person and having some interesting discussions. "Anyone interested in taking a closer look at this complete Arburg package should definitely visit us at our stand at Plast Eurasia," says Elgin Malcan.
