During this two-day event, a producing BOY XS will send the current process data via an Internet connection to the BOY server in Neustadt-Fernthal via a data collector. Via the protected online access https://status.dr-boy.de, each user can view the data of its injection moulding machines at any time and from anywhere. Especially for the VDI Annual Meeting, the online data will be visible to all users of the Status App during these two days. The screen display of the Status App is supplemented on any Smartphone or terminal device with Internet access (e.g. also a correspondingly equipped TV) by the machines of the BOY Technical Center. From the Technical Center, the integrated injection moulding machines deliver the current process data to the server, too.
With this BOY-Status App, the specialist of injection moulding machines with a clamping force of up to 1250 kN contributes to the user-friendly implementation of progressive digitization in the production process. The BOY-Status-App cannot replace a complete BDE-system with its comprehensive tools. However, with a relatively manageable effort it manages to keep the competitively crucial characteristics, such as machine- or production utilization, efficiency and cost awareness as well as on-time delivery and thus customer satisfaction at a high level. During the event in Baden-Baden visitors can get information on a more extensive BDE system, the connection to the Euromap 77/83 as well as the increased demands on the connectivity of the injection moulding machines at our BOY booth. BOY has been working in partnership with a company established in this sector for some years.
The best part comes last...
In many production plants there is still a number of older production machines – a number that should not be underestimated. These injection moulding machines are most times not equipped with a digital control. But even these old "treasures" can be integrated into the BOY-Status App. Thus, an analogue old machine will be turned into a product that has made its way into a modern, digitized production.Source:
