With a successful trade fair appearance at Plastindia 2023, BOY laid the foundation for a promising trade fair year. During the five-day event in New Delhi, BOY's Indian representative Karan Engineering Co. demonstrated a BOY 50 E.
Baby bottle nipples were produced on a six-cavity mould from the company Emde MouldTec GmbH in a liquid-silicone application which inspired the numerous visitors of the trade fair. The BOY 50 E injection moulding machine with cantilevered two-platen clamping unit is characterised in particular by its precision, high performance as well as extremely quiet running and compact design (3.25 m²). The servo-motor pump drive of the E-series ensures a smooth running and an energy-saving operation with high efficiency. Visitors to the Plastindia were given the chance to personally convince themselves, as BOY was one of the very few German machine manufacturing companies demonstrating an injection moulding machine at the trade fair. This live-demonstration was a magnet for the public and the BOY representation could make many very promising discussions.
Karan Engineering has been handling BOY's sales and customer service in India for many years. The representative has a strong presence in the Indian market and the well-managed Service-team has a recognised reputation in the industry. Karan, the son of the Managing Director of Karan Engineering Sundaram, was present for the first time at the fair. Christian Storz, Export Manager at BOY, who was also at the fair, stated: "Karan is the name-giver of our Indian representation and is regarded as the designated successor of Sundaram. He will probably fill his father’s shoes in the next few years and represent BOY in the Indian market in the same successful way."
