Biesterfeld expanding German portfolio with MMA adhesives

Biesterfeld expanding German… With immediate effect, Biesterfeld Spezialchemie is distributing two-component methyl methacrylate (MMA) adhesives from SCIGRIP on the German market. Milar, a Polish subsidiary of the Biesterfeld Group, has already successfully offered the products in Poland and the Baltic States since April 2016.

SCIGRIP offers the latest developments of adhesive chemistry systems for sophisticated applications in the fields of transport, marine applications, construction, and product assembly, as well as for signage and display systems. MMA adhesives are used to adhere metal, composites, and plastic materials, as well as combinations thereof. They are characterized by excellent fatigue-resistance in combination with impact- and shock-resistance.

The portfolio has various types available with different reaction times in a mix ratio of 1:1 and 10:1. A wide selection of standard products, special adhesives, and innovative solutions is on offer. In addition to adhesives for application under water, there are also transparent and elastic variants.

Dr Johannes Martin, Sales Manager Performance Products, Biesterfeld Spezialchemie, is pleased with the expansion of the cooperation to the German market: “By expanding the portfolio in Germany, we’ll be able to even better meet the high demands of our customers. Compared to conventional MMA adhesives, SCIGRIP offers an extraordinarily broad spectrum of reaction times that are optimally adapted to our customers’ process requirements.”

“The targeted distribution of our products is one of our most crucial challenges. With Biesterfeld, we can now ideally situate our products on the German market. We are pleased with the expansion of the cooperation,” says Alexander Gröger, Key Account & Business Development Manager, SCIGRIP.
