Fibre composites already boast a proven track record in numerous areas. "In future, the task will be to ensure mass production with latest manufacturing and automation solutions so as to tap into further market potential," says Olaf Freier, Event Director of Composites Europe. At the trade fair the exhibitors are showcasing the entire spectrum of fibre-reinforced plastics including a great number of innovations for the application fields of automotive engineering, aerospace, yacht building, wind energy and construction.
Premiere of Composites Germany Pavilion
Celebrating a premiere this year will be the joint stand of the "Wirtschaftsvereinigung Composites Germany". The umbrella organisation of the German fibre composites industry counting such firms as AVK, CCeV, CFK-Valley Stade and VDMA AG Hybride Leichtbau Technologien among their members, will be represented by a total of 18 member companies at the 350 square metre pavilion.
Know-how from industry and science
One trade fair, six formats - under this motto Composites Europe has developed into the most important meeting point for the sector in Germany over the past ten years. Know-how from industry and science awaits visitors in the special areas and forums, which will have an even stronger focus on the applications industries for composite materials this year.
In the "Product Demonstration Area" exhibitors such as KraussMaffei, SAERTEX, Gaugler und Lutz and Eastman Machine Company will showcase their high-tech products and demonstrate manufacturing processes live.
At the "Industry meets Science" special area the institute of plastics processing "Institut für Kunststoffverarbeitung (IKV)", will present with its partner, RWTH Aachen University, composite developments and highlights under the heading "Resource efficiency for increased profitability" including developments from the areas of Industry 4.0, Additive Manufacturing and hybrid lightweight construction.
Guided Tours of the trade fair
The Guided Tours will focalise wind energy, automotive engineering, aerospace and thermoplastic composites. These themed tours guide participants to exhibitors who will provide an overview of their products and current projects at their exhibition stands. Participation is free of charge but registration required on account of the limited number of participants.
