K.D. Feddersen Distribution expands Celanese product portfolio

K.D. Feddersen Distribution…

At the beginning of 2025, K.D. Feddersen Distribution in Europe is expanding its Celanese portfolio to include the polyamide grades of Zytel, Minlon, Selar and Elvamide and the polyester portfolio to include Rynite.

Versatile polyamide solutions for demanding applications

Zytelpolyamides represent a comprehensive range of high-performance polyamides such as PA 6, PA 6.6, PA 6.10, PA 6.12 and high-performance polyamides (PPA grades). According to the manufacturer, these materials are known for their exceptional performance and reliability in demanding applications and offer outstanding properties such as stiffness, strength, chemical resistance and heat resistance. The range includes unreinforced and glass fibre reinforced, highly heat-stabilised, impact-modified, flame retardant, hydrolysis resistant, laser markable and laser weldable grades.

Zytel is an ideal solution for e.g. the automotive industry, the electrical and electronics sector as well as for food and medical technology applications and for components for noise and vibration reduction.

Minlon convinces as PA 6 and PA 6.6 with mineral or mineral and glass fibre reinforced grades, while Selar with its outstanding oxygen barrier properties is an excellent choice for packaging in the food and beverage industry. Elvamide, a polyamide multipolymer, scores highly in terms of abrasion resistance, durability and adhesion - ideal for hot melt adhesives and flexible applications.

Polyester for the highest demands

The glass fibre-reinforced Rynite PET complements the portfolio with its high strength, rigidity, excellent dimensional stability and glossy surface, thus offering a future-proof alternative to thermosets. Rynite is widely used in a variety of industries, such as the automotive industry, the electrical and electronics sector and in household appliances. It ensures increased reliability of electrical appliances, photovoltaic systems, switches and other energy components.

“By expanding our PA and PET product portfolio, we are strengthening our position as a reliable partner for innovative material solutions in Europe and further expanding our long-standing, successful collaboration with Celanese. This allows us to offer our customers one of the most efficient ranges of high-quality engineering plastics under one roof,” says Daniel Brock, Director Marketing & Product Management EU at K.D. Feddersen GmbH & Co. KG.
