The extension of the KraussMaffei production plant for automation solutions is progressing quicker than planned.Work on the interior fittings and the construction of the assembly stations will start in September.
The entire new production hall is scheduled for completion in October, and production will commence at the beginning of November.
"We are ahead of our original planning timetable with the construction of the new production hall. I am extremely confident that we will start production at the beginning of November", emphasized Dr. Karlheinz Bourdon, Managing Director of KraussMaffei Technologies GmbH in Munich.
The doubling of the production area to 1,570 square meters will cover the growing demand for automated production cells for injection molding production.
"Demand is undiminished because our customers are increasingly recognizing the value-added and efficiency potential of effective production cells comprising robots and injection molding machines", said Dr. Bourdon.
KraussMaffei is the only manufacturer in the industry to offer a wide range of automation solutions for injection molding processing - from linear robots and side entry robots through to industrial robots. The foundation stone for the new construction of a second production hall in Schwaig (near Munich) was only laid in the middle of April this year.
