Milacron has made a series of organisation changes, including creating a global key accounts team and several new positions, as part of the plastics machinery maker’s customer-driven strategic focus.
In moves announced 3 March, Glenn Anderson becomes senior vice-president of global key accounts. Anderson had been Milacron’s vice-president and general manager of North American injection machinery and global extrusion. He has more than 27 years of experience in both injection moulding and extrusion technologies.
Anderson has held several leadership positions with the Society of the Plastics Industry, including his current post as chairman of the NPE2012 operations committee and serving on the executive committee. He has been vice-chair of the Equipment Council and vice chairman of the NPE2009 operations committee. Anderson also has been an active member of the Society of Plastics Engineers since 1984.
Dave Lawrence, president of Milacron’s worldwide plastics machinery, said the moves are designed to provide Milacron’s expertise anywhere in the world.
“Milacron is in a strong financial position to support these efforts with resources to move in new and innovative ways,” said Lawrence. “Glenn and his team will have no boundaries or borders, just one goal – supporting the success of our largest customers worldwide.”
The Batavia-based company makes injection moulding machines, extruders, blow moulding machines, structural foam machines, mould components and industrial fluids used in metal cutting.
Milacron also is reorganising its sales staff on a regional basis, instead of the past alignment along product lines.
The US and Canadian market will be grouped into two regions. Robert Strickley is now vice president of sales for east/central North America. Tom Brown will be vice president of sales of south/west North America. Both are Milacron veterans. Strickley was the company’s long-time marketing director who has returned to a sales position in recent years. Brown was director of sales and marketing for extrusion.
The Mexico market will be combined with the Latin American and South American markets. Michael Ferlic is the new vice-president of sales for Mexico, Latin and South America.
Fadi Abdal will become vice-president of sales for the Middle East and Africa while Mike Puhalla is assuming the new post of general manager and technical director for global extrusion.
