Moretto presents drying and conveying systems with unique features

Through the DUO valve, conveying is provided via a powerful peripheral vacuum pump for filling both the system’s drying hopper and the processing machine the system will serve. To prevent the regain of moisture by the resin between the drying hopper and the processing machine, the CRX Comb includes closed loop conveying, minimizing the use of ambient air for resin movement. The system is completed by all-stainless steel Moretto vacuum receivers that provide resin movement.

A full color 7” touchscreen control panel provides everything needed for both drying and conveying with icon-driven simplicity. An on-board library of 100 material specifications are included and users are prompted to input only the material type and the throughput to begin drying: all the rest is automatic.

The integrated 7-day timer and sophisticated over-drying protection ensure reliable and time-optimized operation. The control makes start-ups and operation extremely simple.

CRX Mobilux: drying and conveying system

Wide line of drying systems for multiple applications

The larger series of CRX Mobilux drying systems is built upon Moretto’s XD 20 series dryers, equipped with a twin-tower drying system capable of producing uniform 75 °C dew points. The XD 20 Series, unlike other twin-tower dryers on the market, employs a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) controlled blower for modulating air flow to the hopper to meet performance and energy-reduction standards.

Thanks to thermodynamic simulations and automatic management of process variables, the XD 20 adapts treatment to each polymer. From a technical point of view, CRX Mobilux includes an anti-stress device that prevents resin over-drying. The VFD automatically adjusts to the actual throughput guaranteeing a perfect drying, and avoiding resin over- or under-drying.

Inline Moisture Meter option

Mobilux drying systems can also be equipped with Moretto’s inline Moisture Meter, connected directly to the drying system controls with a moisture sensor located directly below the drying hopper. The Moisture Meter guarantees real time control of the drying process to minimize waste, reduce energy consumption and eliminate human intervention.

The Moisture Meter sensor utilizes Power Peak patented technology to measure during processing the dielectric strength of the resin flowing through it, directly proportional to its moisture content and reports this value on a continuous basis to the user, allowing action before improperly dried resin can reach the processing stage.

Excellence in bringing it all together

Moretto’s mobile drying systems are ideal for diverse processing facilities, including laboratories and medical applications, where its versatility lies in its compact and mobile cart configuration that easily goes wherever required all powered by a single electrical supply. This functionality not only facilitates adaptable usage but also underscores a dedication to sustainable and forward-thinking solutions.
