Negri Bossi Technology on show at Interplastica 2013

Negri Bossi Technology on… From 29th January to 1st February the Milanese company will exhibit at Interplastica in Moscow, international exhibition held concurrently with Upakovka-Upak Italia – the trade fair dedicated to the world of packaging.

The hybrid injection machine JANUS 220 will take the stage at Interplastica, with handling being carried out by a side entry 811 Sytrama robot. This unit stands out thanks to IML technology - developed jointly by Negri Bossi and Sytrama - which allows the production of items in which the decorative label is not glued but perfectly incorporated into the plastic material. Basically the robot picks the label up and places it directly into the mould cavities, starting the “overmoulding” process, giving as a result a container with a “built in” label, generally used in food, painting and cosmetic fields.

The Janus 220 on show at Interplastica will produce a disposable polystyrene glass, typically used on airplanes, using a four-cavity mould. Excellent production performance – especially the extremely high injection speed required with thin wall items such as cups or glasses – is ensured by the accumulators. Movements overlapping, typical in hybrid machines, ensures a considerable cycle time reduction, while the inverter allows outstanding optimisation of energy consumption.

These cutting-edge solutions clearly demonstrate that Negri Bossi is - through investments in new machines and a strong focus on intra-Group industrial synergy - a provider of ever-more sophisticated technology, allowing it to take up a market position as a complete automated moulding partner.
