New Krones tubular heat exchanger model

New Krones tubular heat exchanger… At the Anuga FoodTec, Krones will be presenting, amongst other technological highlights, a new model of tubular heat exchanger for manufacturing milk, mixed milk beverages, tea or juice. In this system, the heat is exchanged according to the product-against-product principle: the still-cold product flows through the internal pipe and is heated by the already heated product located in the external pipe. In addition to a higher energy recovery compared to the product-against-water design, the new tubular heat exchanger has other advantages: for example, on the jacket side there are no internal-pipe supports, and this permits the processing of fibrous products. The internal pipes can also be removed from the jacket pipe for easier inspection.

A design highlight of the new pipe modules is the hygienic stainless steel bellows for length compensation. This allows the omission of radial seals, resulting in the elimination of any leaks when in a cold condition.

HST homogenizer HL6

HST Maschinenbau GmbH is your first port of call when it comes to homogenization technology, high-pressure piston pumps, systems technology and sealing technology. Its portfolio comprises, among other things, nine different homogenizer models from the HL series. They comprise 2, 3, 5 or 6 pistons, as well as a downstream homogenization valve, and can process 10 to 47,000 litres per hour at a pressure of 100 to 1,500 bar.

HST is presenting the homogenizer type HL6 at the Anuga FoodTec. It is the economical model among high-pressure homogenizers: Thanks to the HST MultiGap valve, it consumes up to 25 percent less energy, has a needs-based controller and also makes a water saving of 25 percent possible.

Intelligent valve from Evoguard

As the specialist for valves and pumps within the Krones Group, Evoguard asked itself an exciting question: how can a mechanical valve, i.e. a physical component “learn to talk”, meaning how can it be digitalised? The advantages: dynamic seals in the product compartment can thus be monitored in regard to their wear status. In order to pursue this thought, Evoguard is currently developing, in conjunction with Syskron, an intelligent valve as a solution geared to Industry 4.0.

A case study has already been on show at the drinktec, and will again be presented at Anuga FoodTec.
