On the 21st and 22nd of August 2018, Omron celebrated the opening of the new office with its partners and customers during two open day events, where the visitors could see how Omron implements Industry 4.0 in practice. Omron also presented topics relating to its "innovative-Automation!" strategic concept, which consists of three principles: integrated evolution, intelligence and interactivity. The presentations and live demonstrations during the open days underlined Omron's goal to improve manufacturing plants through new innovations in these areas. The subjects discussed included IoT, traceability, robotics and machine safety, as well as human machine collaboration.
In addition to providing a base for Omron's sales activities in Switzerland, the new office is an ideal location for customers to attend local trainings, seminars and meetings. Omron's branch office in Neuhausen (SH) will remain open as a PMAC motion computer Technology Center.
"The open days have been a wonderful way to celebrate the opening of the new office, as well as to offer our customers the opportunity to see our latest technology innovations around Industry 4.0", commented Reto Stenico, Area Sales Manager at Omron Electronics AG. "This new office highlights Omron's continued focus and investment in Switzerland and we look forward to welcoming our customers to the local events that are scheduled for this fall, such as EMC seminars, robotic seminars and Sysmac trainings," Mr. Stenico concludes."
