Ongropack in Kazincbarcika, Hungary, a renowned sheet manufacturer, recently put an additional KraussMaffei Berstorff system for manufacturing PVC sheets into operation."Since 1996 we have been producing sheets for a great variety of applications on KraussMaffei Berstorff systems, and we are extremely satisfied with the quality of our end products", says Gyula Szabó, Managing Director of Ongropack. "On the new system, we will produce both compact and foamed PVC sheets with a finished width of 2050 mm that are further processed into door panels or used for advertising purposes or in trade show stand construction." The KMD 114-32/PL twin-screw extruder with a material conveyor and polishing stack has a flexible design that enables a fast and easy changeover in production of the finished product. The extruder operates at an output of 700 k/h.
Founded in 1993, Ongropack started producing PVC rigid and stretch films. Three years later, another sheet manufacturing company was merged with Ongropack, while keeping the name Ongropack Ltd. From that time onwards, the company's portfolio was extended to include the manufacture of PVC free foamed and solid sheets as well.
As a result, Ongropack became a leading plastics processor in the CEE region, and one of the largest PVC manufacturers in the area.
Free foamed and solid sheets are marketed under the brand names Ongrofoam and Ongrodur, while films are sold under the brand name Ongrofol. Products are used in the construction, advertising and food industries.
