The British Plastics Federation (BPF) has welcomed the announcement that PVC will make a significant contribution to the sustainability of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
BPF public and industrial affairs director, Anthony Roberts, said: - This is a clear signal that PVC is a leading candidate for use in iconic buildings and structures on the Olympic Park and that the sustainability benefits of PVC can potentially be showcased for the world to see.
The UK PVC industry is very much looking forward to working with the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) and the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games (LOCOG) to enable them to reach their sustainability objectives, added the BPF.
