PET maker Selenis Canada Inc. has started production at its Montreal facility.Portuguese investment firm ImatosGil Group, which owns Selenis Canada, purchased the then-dormant plant from PTT Poly Canada LP in December, 2009. The plant had been built to handle PTT production, and was converted for PET.
"We are very proud of our successful plant startup and our excellent product quality. Our experienced team skillfully rose to the construction and production startup challenges," said Selenis Canada CEO Giovanni B. Iadeluca.
According to a Selenis Canada news release, the first product shipments are now on the way to customers.
