Six BOY injection moulding machines at Kuteno

Six BOY injection moulding…

At Kuteno in Bad Salzuflen BOY presents six machines from its product portfolio. From May 13th to May 15th, the specialist of injection moulding machines located in Neustadt-Fernthal demonstrates its many years of expertise in the manufacture of compact and energy-efficient machines for the plastics processing industry.

At booth 20-D22 a BOY 35 Electric (with a clamping force of 350 kN) produces fine screens made of Luranyl which will be removed from the mould by the LR 5 linear handling system that is integrated into the machine control system. After this working step the parts will be deposited with pinpoint accuracy.

The BOY 35 Electric offers numerous features which increase the precision and, especially in high-speed applications, the efficiency during injection moulding thanks to parallel movements. The drives for injection, dosing and ejection are electro-mechanical which means that the mould area remains free of oil and lubricants.

The BOY Electric series not only impresses with its performance, but also with its new machine design. The OSSD safety technology (non-contact safety switch) has also been incorporated into the new series. The drive and inverter technology are integrated in the smallest possible space and offer numerous expansion options. This allows BOY to remain true to its concept of a small footprint.

A BOY XS E produces crown caps made of TPE. With a clamping force of 100 kN on a footprint of 0.87 m², the BOY XS E offers numerous application possibilities in sprueless micro and small part injection moulding thanks to innovative and proven technologies. The cantilevered two-platen clamping unit of the BOY XS E with diagonal arrangement of the tie bars ensures that the plasticizing unit, mould area and ejector are optimally accessible, which facilitates the integration of automation equipment. The machine has been optimized in many aspects and will be supplied with the latest BOY Procan ALPHA 6 control system.

BOY's presence will be complemented by a total of four machines at the booths of partner companies. A BOY 25 E at the booth of HNP Mikrosysteme GmbH produces Deli- trays made of NAS 30. The company IKK - Institut für Kunststoff- und Kreislauftechnik presents on a BOY 25 E a so-called “tyre butler” made of Polypropylene-Recyclate which is used to mark the tyre position of a second set of tyres. On a BOY XS E, the company WIS Kunststoffe GmbH produces shopping cart chips made of Polypropylene-Recyclat and the company Albrecht + Schumacher Oberflächentechnik GmbH produces bookmarks made of PP on another BOY XS E.

Andreas Scheideler, Head of Domestic Sales, is well prepared for the numerous discussions: “It is very important for us to be able to present our new Electric series to a wide audience in the northern part of Germany after the Fakuma. Kuteno offers an excellent platform”. Dirk Steinbach and Arkadius Krzonkalla, Sales Consultants for the northern part of Germany and North Rhine-Westphalia, will also be present at the trade fair and they are looking forward to many visitors and exciting discussions.
