Positioning the company to lead its response to future technological developments, Sumitomo (SHI) Demag has appointed experienced processing and machinery expert Mr. Martin Pütz as its Senior Director Technology.
As respected IKV (Institute for Plastics Processing) mechanical engineering academic, Mr. Pütz brings a rich innovation perspective gained by his deep and diverse experiences in a variety of roles. His career pathway has seen Mr. Pütz progress from an injection molding process engineer to different technical and sales management positions, and most recently Global Senior Director Engineering & Innovation with Gerresheimer AG, a global solution provider for pharma, healthcare and the cosmetic industry.
As Senior Director Technology, he is responsible for building on the company’s clear agile-engineering strategy. This includes overseeing the Group’s R&D, application technology, training and technical product management departments. He has also been assigned the task of strengthening application technology as the company’s third business pillar within the subsidiaries, alongside machinery sales and service. Mr. Pütz will be based at the Schwaig office.
