From 29 January to 1 February 2019, Wittmann Battenfeld will present to interested trade visitors its latest injection molding technology, together with automation and auxiliary equipment, at the Interplastica in Moscow in hall 02, booth 2.1/A23.
At this year’s Interplastica, Wittmann Battenfeld will exhibit its new EcoPower Xpress 160/1100+ with a new Wittmann IML unit. The EcoPower Xpress is an all-electric, high-speed and high-performance machine specially designed for thin-walled applications with high volumes, as required in the packaging industry. This machine series was presented for the first time towards the end of 2016 with a machine model with 4,000 kN clamping force. Now this series has been extended with the addition of models in the lower clamping force segment, and includes sizes ranging from 1,600 to 5,000 kN.At the Interplastica, the production of a lid made from PP (Borealis, Austria) with a 4-cavity mold will be demonstrated on the EcoPower Xpress 160/1100+, using the IML technology from Wittmann. The IML system is a completely redesigned high-speed system with a W837 pro side-entry robot. With the help of anticipatory signal exchange transmitted in real time between the machine and the robot, the mold opening time can be limited to an absolute minimum. The lids are produced within a cycle time of roughly 3 seconds. The machine will be equipped with the CMS condition monitoring system from Wittmann Battenfeld, which ensures continuous condition monitoring of its most important parameters.Furthermore, the integration of robots and auxiliary appliances into the new UNILOG B8 machine control system, known as Wittmann 4.0, will be demonstrated clearly and simply on an interactive display board. This will give visitors an opportunity to test the advantages of the Wittmann solution for Industry 4.0 for themselves.
Numerous auxiliary appliances from Wittmann will also be on display as stand-alone solutions at the Interplastica in Moscow.
