Saving with neck finish conversion: Deka

Saving with neck finish conversion:… Deka, a famous company in Russia well known as the biggest producer of kvass in the country and a reliable partner of the major leading brands in the beverage industry, entrusted to P.E.T. Engineering the neck finish conversion from PCO1810 to PCO1881 of two filling lines.

Deka’s big plant in Veliky Novgorod produces the popular Russian brand “Nikola” and is engaged in the production of Kvass and flat/sparkling water for PepsiCo, which sells these products on the market through the brands "Aqua Minerale" and "Ruskyi Darr".

P.E.T. Engineering was in charge for the neck finish conversion of two whole filling lines, one able to reach 18.000 bottles per hour, the other 36.000 bottles per hour.

This neck finish change permits a saving of 1.3g of PET for each bottle. Considering one working hour as a productive unit, the saving for the 36.000 bottles/hour line is 46.4 kg and 23.4 kg for the 18,000 one.

The intervention was developed by the supply of all the machine parts directly involved in the change of the neck finish, that is to say, the blowing machine, the rinser, the filler and the capper, all-in-one solution.

All this without the necessity to get through so many different suppliers.
In this way P.E.T. Engineering, as a single source for the project, was able to ensure quickness, accuracy and cost containment.
