Germany-based Windmöller&Hölscher, a family-owned supplier of machinery for film extrusion, printing and converting plastics, founded its own daughter company in Poland in June 2018. The specialist for machines for the production of flexible packaging has been active in the Polish market for almost thirty years with a representative office. In the last five years, the company has doubled its turnover in Poland. With the establishment of the subsidiary in this growing market, W&H wants to move even closer to its customers and further improve its service offering with local technicians. The W&H subsidiary Windmöller & Hölscher Sp.z.o.o. has its headquarters in Warsaw. Torsten Berding, Sales Manager Europe North, will take over as Managing Director.
"With the new daughter company as sales and service unit we expand the capacities locally", explains Torsten Berding, as sales manager at W&H responsible for the region Europe North and managing director of the new subsidiary in Poland. In future, a total of eight sales staff and service technicians will look after Polish customers. Spare parts can also be ordered directly in Warsaw. "This way we create short distances and a local contact person speaking the language of the country", says Berding. The Polish subsidiary serves as a contact point for all W&H divisions: extrusion, printing and converting.
