Once the stuff of pure research, bioplastics have become a fast-growing business for marketers and technologists in the plastics industry mainstream. NPE2009, the central event in the industry’s calendar, will stand as a milestone in this historical transition, according to The Society of the Plastics Industry, Inc. (SPI), producer of the triennial NPE.
The specialist symposium on "PET Strapping" held jointly by Erema, the Austrian manufacturer of plastic recycling systems, and their Italian technology partner Techno Plastic s.r.l., on 27 and 28 October 2008 at Erema's headquarters in Ansfelden generated enormous interest.
Bta & Hispack will be held from 11 to 15 May 2009 at the Fira de Barcelona`s Gran Via venue in a total surface area of 90,000 m2 and will have 3,500 exhibitors. Approximately 60,000 professional visitors from around the world will gather at this trade fair with the aim of finding out about a wide range of technology and machinery products capable of meeting those needs present in the food and beverage production chain - from the ingredient to the packaging via the production process.
The 11th PETnology Europe took place, this time in Neuss near Duesseldorf and directly prior to Interpack. Attendees, exhibitors and speakers gave highest marks for quality and organisation of the event. Mostly appreciated, however, was the fact that the conference offers the possibility of top-level discussions among the participants.
