More than 100 customers from Mexico took up their invitation to attend the opening ceremony of the new KraussMaffei Reaction Process Machinery TechCenter in Querétaro, Mexico in August 2016. During this event, KraussMaffei gave live demonstrations of the new RimStar Compact 40/16 mixing and metering system and of a new mold carrier. Another focus of the event was the field of service, with the efficient pump and mixing head repair service."Our new TechCenter allows us to offer our customers individual development and sampling possibility in the field of Reaction Process Machinery, through to prototype series production. Our customers benefit from the latest generation of KraussMaffei mixing and metering systems and mold carriers," explains Klaus Jell, General Manager of the KraussMaffei subsidiary in Mexico. The new mold carrier is used primarily for the production of steering wheels. When it is closed it can be turned through 90°. The benefit: the additional rotation range allows ventilation across the division plane of the mold. This in turn accelerates the process as the additional manual cleaning process (to remove risers before opening the mold) is able to develop.
During the event, the customers made full use of the opportunity to exchange information and experience with the KraussMaffei experts regarding the latest polyurethane processes. Besides the discussions, interested persons were able to experience a live demonstration right at the start: a RimStar Compact 40/16 producing miniature tequila barrels. Exciting specialist lectures and presentations on topical issues such as lightweight construction with fiber-reinforced plastics, applications in the interior of an automobile and the issue of white goods rounded the event off. "We were able to welcome more than 100 customers, who gave us positive feedback about the services offered by the new KraussMaffei TechCenter. It was a highly successful opening ceremony that sent out an important signal for the strong position of the KraussMaffei Reaction Process Machinery in Mexico," Jell stressed.
